Unicycling through Laos

In January 2006, nineteen people set off to unicycle 500km through Laos. I managed to write a bit during the trip, mostly in the form of occasional email sent out to a haphazard list of friends and family. Using that, plus copious notes, memories, and an outrageous amount of time, I've put something together to help me remember and share the trip.

Because getting off and on a giant unicycle is a lot more work than just staying on, and because some scenes vanish if you stop and fiddle with a camera, I took many of these photos while unicycling, often without looking at the camera. Sometimes I got lucky, and sometimes the subject was so awesome that even a bad picture is pretty cool. Just squint a little if you have to.
